Join the magic - volunteer at the Mid Summers Art Festival!
We’re looking for awesome, art-loving folks to help bring this year’s festival to life!
Whether you love welcoming guests, wrangling parking, crafting with kids, selling raffle tickets, setting up (or packing down), or just being part of the creative energy, we’ve got a spot for you.
Volunteering is a fun way to meet new people, support local artists, and be part of something truly special in the heart of summer.
Things to know about volunteering:
Every volunteer gets free entry to the festival — our thanks to you!
Each shift is just 90 minutes long — plenty of time to enjoy the festival before or after.
Please arrive 5 minutes early to check in at the Visitor’s Centre, meet your team, and get set up with instructions.
Our organizing team will be onsite all day to provide support and answer any questions you may have.
After take-down, all volunteers are invited to a post-festival celebration — we’ll fill our hearts and our bellies while swapping great stories from the day!
Festival Set Up
Join the celebration early! Set-up volunteers are the ones who get the party started by laying out the site, decorating, and generally getting the vibe going! Perfect for early birds who love teamwork, creativity, and a little behind-the-scenes action!
Kids Area
Help spark creativity in our youngest festival-goers! You’ll help lead crafts, games, and big smiles in a space full of laughter and imagination. Perfect for playful spirits who love art, energy, and a little bit of glitter!
Visitor Centre
Be the go-to for all things festival at the Visitor Centre. You’ll greet guests, andswer questions, and help everyone find their way to the art, music, and quite likely, the bathroom! Perfect for friendly faces who love sharing info, meeting people, and helping people find their way.
Welcome Gate + Admission
Be the friendly face that kicks off everyone’s festival fun! You’ll welcome guests, hand out programs, and keep the good vibes flowing at the entrance. Perfect for people who love smiles, art, and being in the hart of the action!
Parking + Traffic
Parking volunteers serve as heroic chaos manages by directing festival attendees to parking spots and managing traffic flow. You’ll guide cars, keep traffic flowing, and help everyone arrive with a smile and zero stress. Perfect for cool-headed folks who love fresh air, clear directions, and being part of the festival’s smooth operation!
Festival Takedown
Festival takedown volunteers are the ones who get all the ‘feel good’ at the end of a great day. We pull everything down, tidy up and put it all away as we talk about all the great things that happened on festival day. Oh yeah, that’s the good stuff!

Care Crew
What’s a festival without a little extra love? The Care Crew keeps the vibes flowing by helping keep the festival site tidy, making sure volunteers stay refreshed, and lending a hand to vendors throughout the day.
Raffle Ticket Sales
Help us to showcase the work of our vendors and raise a few funds to pay for festival costs. You’ll chat with guests, sell tickets, and spread the word about all the great prizes up for grabs. Perfect for outgoing folks who love meeting people and adding a little extra fun to the festivities.
